UAE Fitness Competitions You Can Enter With Friends
Compare pairs, four-person teams and relay formats, with verified November 2026 options and a checklist for choosing your team.
A shared competition can give your gym group a clear training goal. But “team event” can mean running every kilometre together, splitting stations, taking relay turns or completing several scored workouts.
Choose the format before asking everyone to pay. Here are several November 2026 options, checked against official organizer or registration pages on 20 October 2026, plus the questions to settle as a team.
For two: LABR at JLT Park
Dates: 10–29 November 2026, with individual sessions to book.
Location: JLT Park, Cluster Q, Dubai.
LABR puts crews of two through a sixty-minute session involving six lanes of load-carrying and related tasks. The organizer welcomes women, men and mixed crews, says loads are scaled, and explicitly welcomes first-timers.
This may suit friends who want a shared physical challenge without technical gymnastics or a long running course. You still need to read the rules and choose a session that both people can attend.
Before booking: Check session availability, any age restrictions, the current fee and how your partner joins the booking.
For two: Turf Games Dubai Engine
Date: 20 November 2026.
Location: ISD Stadium, Dubai Sports City.
Engine is a pairs endurance event with male, female and mixed categories. The registration page lists AED 600 per pair plus platform fees, with heats starting from 4:15 PM.
The organizer describes a low-skill format, but low skill does not mean low effort. Read the current workout requirements and practise how you will communicate and share work.
Before booking: Check the team’s age-category rules and movement requirements. The entry page says team entries are non-refundable unless the event date changes or the event is cancelled.
Check Engine details and entry terms.
For two or four: HYROX Dubai
Dates: 27–28 November 2026.
Location: Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai.
HYROX offers two distinctly different ways to share the race, subject to available tickets:
- Doubles: Both partners complete all eight one-kilometre runs together and split the station work according to the rules.
- Relay: Four teammates divide the event, with each athlete completing two runs and two workout stations.
Doubles is not a half-distance running entry. If your running abilities differ significantly, agree on a pace both partners can maintain rather than expecting the faster athlete to compensate at the stations.
The event’s provisional schedule assigns different divisions to different days. Check your exact category, personal wave and current ticket-change terms.

For four: WODON3 at Emirates Dubai 7s
Dates: 27–29 November 2026; competition days depend on division.
Location: Pitch 3, The Sevens Stadium, Dubai.
WODON3 teams consist of two men and two women. The listed entry is AED 1,890 per team, equivalent to AED 472.50 each if split equally, before any additional charges shown at checkout.
The organizer offers three divisions:
- Super Social: First-time competitors; Saturday only.
- Open: Regular gym-goers with competition experience; Saturday and Sunday.
- Elite: Advanced competitors; Friday and Saturday.
Entry includes access to all three days of Emirates Dubai 7s. Choose your division by the whole team’s ability to meet the standards, not the strongest person’s preferred category.
Before booking: Review the movement standards, all competition days and whether every teammate can commit to the schedule.

Other team formats: Apex Games Abu Dhabi
Dates: 14–15 November 2026.
Location: 321 Sports, Hudayriyat Island, Abu Dhabi.
Apex Games’ official event page lists doubles and team ticket options alongside individual categories, with different division requirements. It is worth comparing if your group wants an independent hybrid competition rather than assuming every event follows HYROX rules.
Before booking: Confirm that your chosen lineup is eligible for the actual Abu Dhabi ticket category. Check the current standards, workload split, fees and division schedule; do not use a previous season’s team rules.

Five decisions to make before paying
1. What is the shared goal?
Finishing a first event and chasing a podium are both reasonable goals. Trouble starts when teammates enter with different expectations.
2. Can everyone meet the standards?
List the required movements and loads. Identify anything that needs practice. Do not assume another teammate can do all the difficult work unless the rules explicitly allow that split.
3. Can you train together?
Practise communication, changeovers and pacing. Even a short rehearsal can expose confusion over who starts a station or what signal means “switch.”
4. Who handles the booking?
Agree on the total budget, payment deadline and who keeps the confirmation. Check substitution rules and what happens financially if someone withdraws. Avoid collecting unnecessary identity documents in a group chat.
5. Does the schedule work for everyone?
Check every competition day, check-in window and travel commitment. An entry that includes a festival weekend may still require racing on only one or two specific days.
Pick the format that fits your group
For a flexible shared session, compare LABR. For a pairs endurance race, investigate Engine. For a standardized running-and-stations format, compare HYROX Doubles and Relay. For four-person workouts within a festival, review WODON3’s divisions.
None is automatically easy. The best choice is the one your whole team understands and can prepare for.
